my nan was tellng me about a child she was nursing when she was a child who had this condition. he was blind and deaf and sadly one day his head grew so big that it tragically exploded
No it is not an infection in the head. It is called hydrocephalus is also called "water on the brain" in lay terms. A fair amount of little people also have this condition. (There is an infection called menengitis that does crop up, occasionally, where the bacteria is in the spinal fluid but doesn't usually make your head grow.) This is spinal fluid that travels up through the spine to the brain and back through the spinal canal again. It sometimes can not get back down the channel and builds up in the head/brain. The babies heads are not fused so they grow.In other people a shunt can be placed from the brain into the stomach and drain that way. The body replaces it's own fluid at a pretty rapid pace daily. Interesting?
is this true !!!!!!
